Terms of Service
Last updated · August 2026
Welcome to Travidz. Travidz is a short-video travel app where creators share trips, businesses list bookable deals, and travellers discover and book them. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Travidz.
These Terms apply to everyone, but Travidz has three kinds of users — and the money flow is different for each. Jump to the part that applies to you:
- Part B — For Travellers (people booking trips)
- Part C — For Creators (people posting videos and earning rewards)
- Part D — For Businesses (hotels, tour and activity operators listing deals)
Part A — General terms (everyone)
A1. Who can use Travidz
Travidz is a 16+ community. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the service, worldwide — even where the local digital-consent age is lower. You're responsible for your account and for anything done with it. Keep your credentials secure.
We verify age at sign-up. You'll be asked for your date of birth; on Apple devices you may instead be able to share an age band, in which case we record only that you are 16 or over. If we find that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will block and delete it.
A2. Your content
You keep ownership of the videos, photo posts, itineraries and other content you post. By posting, you grant Travidz a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, adapt (for thumbnails, captions, translations) and distribute that content as part of the service and our marketing.
Photo posts may contain up to 20 images, each with its own caption, and may be tagged to a location shown on the Travidz map. Video length limits depend on your account type: up to 90 seconds for standard accounts, and up to 5 minutes for creator and business accounts. Location tags must be honest — don't tag a place you didn't visit or shoot.
You promise that you have the rights to everything you post and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
A2a. Music, audio and copyright
You are responsible for the rights to any music or audio in your posts, including music you add from the Travidz library used outside the terms of its licence. Rights holders can send us a takedown notice through our copyright page, and we handle notices as set out in our DMCA & Takedowns policy.
If a track is the subject of a copyright claim, we may disable that track across the whole platform. Where that happens, your post stays online — the audio simply stops playing and the sound credit is removed. We will notify you, and you can add different audio. If the claim is withdrawn or rejected, the audio is restored automatically. We record upheld copyright claims against an account, and accounts with repeated upheld claims may be suspended or removed.
A3. Acceptable use
- Follow our Community Guidelines — no illegal, hateful, sexual, violent, or deceptive content.
- No spam, scraping, automation that isn't expressly allowed, or attempts to break the service.
- No impersonating other people, brands, or destinations.
- Disclose paid partnerships clearly.
A4. Account suspension and termination
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or put other users at risk. You can delete your account at any time from settings.
A5. Disclaimers and liability
Travidz is provided "as is". We don't warrant that travel information, deals, or creator recommendations are accurate, current, or suitable for your trip. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Travidz isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
A6. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions? Reach us via the support page.
A7. Travidz Wallet
The Travidz Wallet is a balance held in your account that can be used to pay for bookings on Travidz. It can be funded in two ways:
- Earnings transfers — creator rewards you have earned can be moved into your wallet instead of being cashed out to a bank.
- Top-ups — you can add funds by card through Stripe to reach the amount you need for a trip. Top-up credit is booking credit only: it is non-refundable to cash and cannot be withdrawn to a bank account.
When you start a checkout using wallet credit, the amount is placed on hold so it can't be spent twice. If the booking completes, the hold is committed and the funds are spent. If the booking fails, is abandoned, or the checkout session expires, the hold is released back to your available balance, usually within minutes.
Where a booking paid from your wallet is refunded, the refund is returned as wallet credit on the same terms as the funds that paid for it.
Wallet credit is not a bank account or a deposit, is not e-money issued by Travidz, earns no interest, and is not covered by any deposit-protection scheme. It is a prepaid balance for use on Travidz. We may suspend wallet activity where we reasonably suspect fraud or a breach of these Terms.
Part B — For Travellers
This part covers what you pay when you book a trip on Travidz, and where the money goes.
B1. What you pay at checkout
The total you pay on Travidz is the business or operator's price plus a Travidz booking fee of 18%. The booking fee is shown clearly at checkout — there are no hidden charges added afterwards. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
Worked example. An activity priced by the operator at £100 per person shows as £111 at checkout on Travidz. £100 goes to the operator; £11 is the Travidz booking fee.
B2. What the 18% booking fee covers
- Secure checkout — payment processing via Stripe, fraud screening and chargeback protection. We never see or store your full card details.
- Customer support — help with your booking before, during and after your trip.
- Creator rewards — part of the fee funds the reward paid to the creator whose video inspired the booking, calculated as a flat percentage of the booking value. Without travellers, creators don't get paid; the booking fee is what makes that loop work.
Travidz keeps the remainder to run the platform, and pays payment processing costs out of its own share. The creator's percentage is set out in Part C and the Creator Agreement.
B3. Who delivers your trip
Travel deals shown on Travidz are operated by third-party businesses. The deal itself — the room, the activity, the experience — is delivered by the business, and your contract for delivery is with them. Travidz processes the payment on the business's behalf and acts as merchant of record for the transaction.
B4. Confirmation, payment and refunds
When you complete checkout, you'll receive a confirmation email and a booking record in your account. Payment is processed by Stripe. For bookings of third-party hotels, tours and activities, Stripe automatically splits the charge at capture — the operator or hotel's share is transferred directly to their connected Stripe account, and Travidz retains only its booking fee.
A booking may be paid wholly or partly from your Travidz Wallet. Where wallet credit covers the full amount, no card payment is taken and Travidz settles the business's share separately; where it covers part, the remainder is charged to your card at checkout.
Each deal carries a refund policy set by the business, shown to you before you pay. Refund decisions are made by the business; where they approve a refund, Travidz facilitates the return of funds through Stripe.
Most travel bookings — accommodation, transport, car hire, catering and leisure services tied to specific dates — are exempt from the statutory 14-day cooling-off right under UK and EU consumer law. The deal's stated refund policy applies instead.
B5. Activity pricing and reseller comparisons
Activity and tour deals on Travidz use an operator-direct pricing model. The operator sets their own per-person price (the same price they sell at on their own website) and Travidz adds the 18% booking fee on top.
Where we show a "cheaper than other resellers" badge, the comparison is against third-party resellers — for example GetYourGuide, Viator, Klook, Tiqets, Musement and similar platforms that resell activities with their own markup (commonly 25–40%). We do not compare against the operator's own website, and we make no claim about it. The operator may sell the same activity direct on their own site.
Travidz does not operate a price-match guarantee. Instead, returning guests earn loyalty discounts funded from Travidz's own booking fee — see your account for your current tier.
B6. Reviews and trip behaviour
Reviews must be honest and based on a real experience. Don't post abuse, threats, or content that identifies other guests. Treat businesses, staff and other travellers with respect on-site.
Part C — For Creators
This part is a summary of how creator rewards work. The full schedule lives in the Creator Agreement, which you accept when you opt into creator rewards.
C0. Posting is free — no payout setup required
Anyone with a Travidz account can post videos and photo posts straight away. You do not need to provide banking details, complete Stripe onboarding, or set up payouts to publish or to earn a balance. Stripe Connect and identity verification are only required if and when you choose to cash out to a bank account; you can instead spend your balance through the Travidz Wallet.
C1. How rewards are funded
Creator rewards are paid out of the 18% booking fee (see Part B). When a booking is attributed to your video, you are paid a flat percentage of the booking value. Payment processing fees and any discounts Travidz funds come out of Travidz's share, not yours.
C2. Your commission rate
Your rate is set by join order: 5% of every booking for the first 500 creators (Founding), 4% for the next 5,000, and 3% thereafter. Your rate rises automatically to at least 4% once your content drives £25,000 in attributed bookings in a rolling 12 months, and to 5% at £100,000. Travidz may also agree a bespoke rate with an individual creator in writing. The rate that applies is stamped on each booking when it is confirmed. Full rules are in the Creator Agreement.
C3. Disclosure
You must clearly disclose paid partnerships and any commercial relationship that influences your content, in line with applicable advertising rules in your country.
C4. Payouts
Bank payouts are made via Stripe Connect. You'll need to complete identity verification (KYC) before your first bank payout. Minimum payout thresholds, payout schedules, holdbacks and chargeback handling are set out in the Creator Agreement. Moving your balance into the Travidz Wallet to spend on trips does not require Stripe onboarding.
C4a. Launch phase — when payouts open
Travidz is a new platform. Your earnings are recorded and held in your account, and withdrawals and spending of earned balances will open once Travidz is profitable. We will notify you when that happens.
Your commission is recorded and belongs to you as soon as a qualifying booking is confirmed, and your balance continues to accrue during this period. Until payouts open, an earned balance can be neither withdrawn to a bank account nor moved into the Travidz Wallet to spend, because settling a wallet booking still requires Travidz to pay the hotel or operator in cash. Card top-ups you fund yourself are unaffected and remain spendable on bookings as normal.
C5. Content removal and standing
Travidz may remove content or pause rewards for accounts that breach these Terms, the Creator Agreement, or applicable law (including content rights and disclosure rules).
Part D — For Businesses
This part is a summary for hotels and operators listing deals on Travidz. The full schedule lives in the Business Agreement, which you accept during onboarding.
D1. Listings and accuracy
You're responsible for the accuracy of your listings — pricing, availability, room/activity descriptions, photos and policies. Keep availability and prices current. Where you offer parity (same or better than your direct site), honour it.
D2. Commission and payouts
Travidz earns its booking fee on every booking made through the platform (see Part B). Your share of each booking is paid via Stripe Connect, split automatically at capture so funds go straight to your connected account.
D3. Refunds and disputes
Refund decisions for your bookings sit with you, under the policy you publish on each deal. Travidz facilitates approved refunds through Stripe and may step in on disputes, fraud or chargeback claims under the Business Agreement.
D4. Service delivery
You contract directly with the traveller for delivery of the room, activity or experience and remain responsible for it, including health and safety, licensing and local consumer law.
